With a few edits, doesn't this sound like a poll-tested progressive message on the economy--something Barack Obama might say? Many will know that it is an excerpt from FDR's four freedoms speech to Congress in 1941. What's striking is how the message demands mutual responsibility between citizens and government, but is realistic enough to appreciate the need for a back up system of aid. And it embraces progress - advancement into the future but reminds us that there is no economic development if human development falls short. Put this in your bookmarks.
